2012 Gatorback Mini O’s Supercross: Cooper Webb Wins First 250A Battle

The 2012 Gatorback Amateur Motocross Mini O’s (Mini Olympics) were off to a great start this past Monday, November 19th, with one of the best battles of the day in the 250A heat race. Check out Matt Wozney’s footage for MXTV. Matt caught this killer heat race between Cooper Webb, Matt Bisceglia and Jace Owen, as the A riders traded places in a fierce battle that left the motocross spectators cheering throughout gatorback’s quarry. Bisceglia pulled the holeshot but began traded places with Club MX’s Jace Owen.

Gatorback’s Winter Olympics are held every Thanksgiving in Gainesville Florida. LIVE timing of the event can be found here: . Amateur motocross racers across the country race in the prestigious amateur motocross event, hoping to make a statement by landing on the coveted podium. This year marks the events 41′st anniversary. Gatorback’s Winter Olympics, nicknamed the ‘Mini O’s', are one of only a handful of amateur motocross events in the world, that can possibly rival the prestige of the Loretta Lynn Amateur MX Nationals. It’s the kind of event that so accurately represents the backbone of American motocross.

Races take place  on two separate pristine tracks. Three full days of supercross racing run from Monday to Wednesday, followed by three full days of motocross racing on Thursday through Saturday. Young superstars battle it out in an attempt to become the “Olympiad Champion”. Chronic MX is track-side shooting photos and reporting the event. Team Chronic MX will be rooting for our own sponsored riders, such as RJ Hampshire and Scott Meshey… just to name a few. Check out to get 2012 Mini O updates, videos and photos. Cheers, ChronicMX.
