2012 MXDN Motocross Of Nations Results: Germany Wins, Team USA Places Third. After winning the MXDN for the lat seven years in a row, Team USA had to settle for a disappointing third place finish at this year’s prestigious motocross of Nations race in Lommel, Belgium. The track was absolutely gnarly, with deep sandy ruts providing serious challenges for all of the international racers. Team Germany was the most consistent, and made it to the top spot on the podium. Team Belgium was very impressive and trailed Germany by only 4 points. Team USA seemed to struggle with all three riders having bad luck from the start. Barcia went off course during qualifying and was eventually disqualified because Chuck Sun simply helped lift a banner to allow Barcia back on course. All three motos proved just as difficult with Dungey going down several times, even after impressive charges towards the front. Baggett made several mistakes, while Barcia’s luck remained bad, as he battled mechanical issues (a broken front brake) following a first moto crash.
