BPM Racing Engines: Taking The ‘Motocross Compound’ To Another Level
If you don’t know who George Babor is yet, you will soon. George founded BPM Racing Engines and until now, he has preferred to fly under the radar. George is a mechanical genius, a natural at building unbelievably fast motocross race engines. Tucked away in the Florida back country, near Dade City, George focuses on building fast motocross engines via his fully equipped professional workshop. George has every high tech machine, dyno room and specialized tool possibly needed for building the fastest dirt bike engines around. BPM Racing is like a ‘local pro circuit’. He’s the Mitch Payton of the amateur mx world. Coming from the world of drag racing, George spent years squeezing horsepower out of dragsters. He now works with dozens of up and coming mx amateurs who are extremely fast. George knows how to make their engines fly. Just take a visit to any amateur motocross race in the Southeast, such as the historic Dade City MX, and you will quickly notice that the holeshots are all going to riders equipped with BPM race engines. The results are the same Loretta Lynn’s Amateur MX Nationals…BPM race engines are almost always out front.
Chronic MX was fortunate to meet George almost a decade ago …and BPM has been building our engines ever since. Recently, we learned of some exciting news from George. BPM Racing is taking a giant step towards creating a unique facility to provide the fastest, most ‘dialed in’ motocross bikes around. George plans to provide the ultimate MX testing compound for his customers, a highly unique service. George partnered with longtime friend and fellow motocrosser Gabe Davie in Alabama. The two are creating an MX ‘testing compound’ where George can keep building his rockets, while motocross riders can test their engine performance ‘live’ … on BPM’s motocross track. That kind of service is usually reserved for the factory pros. About an hour south of where the 2012 Loretta S.E. Regionals were held, at Mill Creek MX, is BPM’s new compound. It’s where your dirt bike meets ‘dialed in’….and takes you along for the ride. This teaser video above, produced by Gabe’s son, Colton, is a sample of the facility. Stay tuned to our facebook page http://www.facebook.com/ChronicMotox for updates of events planned at the new BPM facility, including a grand opening. Tell George, Chronic MX sent you. Cheers, Rocket 88.
