Dade City Motocross flashback 1 year ago: The DCMX 12 hrs fundraiser race

Dade City hosted its second annual “12 hrs of DCMX” fundraiser race today, June 5 2011. Ten teams of five riders each competed to log the most laps in 12 hrs at the awesome DCMX track in Dade City, Florida. The race is a fundraiser hosted to benefit the National Guard via a foundation named “that others may live”. One of my good friends was the sponsor for the winning team last year: Tom Stead of Fairway Golfcarts. I wasn’t able to make it out there today…so I thought it would be fun to watch last years 12 hrs of DCMX race recap while stuck here at the Charlotte airport! It’s cool to hear “Mr. Media” Tyler Coscia on the audio of this DCMX video and see how much Dade City Motocross continues to progress year after year! Speaking of, when I first met Tyler not long ago, he was an associate at Cycle Gear…good to see how far he has come along too! DCMX has some serious motocross history behind it and continues to generate some of the fastest riders in the country. I even recall riding the track back in the 1980′s, that’s how long it has been around! Keep a look out on DCMX’s website for what I assume will be killer video footage of todays race. I heard that there were some big names out there again this year. Cheers, Rocket 88.
