James Bubba Stewart To Race 2012 Houston Supercross After Indy Crash Injury

James Stewart seemed to be back to his winning ways recently, especially after winning the prestigious 2012 Daytona Supercross. Unfortunately, it was short lived and he continued his reputation for crashing while competing the following week at the Indianapolis Supercross. The crash ended his hopes for a 2012 title and forced the JGRMX rider onto the sidelines. However, an Update via twitter, with some breaking news was announced last night. James Bubba Stewart announced via his twitter account on Thursday night, that he planned to race in the 2012 Houston Supercross this weekend, following a seemingly fast recovery from a njuries sustained in his crash at Indy. Stewart crashed in his heat race at Indianapolis, and took a hard hit to his head. The diagnosis was that he suffered a concussion. He also tweaked his knee and incurred a broken bone in his hand. Stewart chose to sit out of the Toronto Supercross but announced he will be attending Houston this weekend.

Stewart sent this tweet out last night via @JS7: “I’m gonna give it a shot this weekend!! So here I come Houston!!” Retweeted by http://twitter.com/ChronicMotoX . Points leader Ryan Villopoto, meanwhile, has run away with the title and the #1 plate, so it will be interesting to see if anyone attempts to challenge the current champion. Surely Stewart will have to keep it on two wheels if his goal is to play it safe and gather valuable points. We shall see! There is definitely going to be some great racing ahead of us for the second and third season overall podium spots… still up for grabs. Cheers, Rocket 88
