Motocross Riding Tip: Stefan Everts Explains How To Master Jumps

There is no question that World Champion Stefan Evert’s knows how to ride a dirt bike. The European motocross racer from Belgium has won an astonishing ten world champion titles. There are few riders, if any, that have accomplished as much as this low key racer has. Stefan won an incredible 101 GP races before retiring, and is the only motocross racer in history, other than Eric Geboers, to have won world titles in all three motorcycle  classes …125cc, 250cc and 500cc. Ironically, he is also the only racer in the world to have ever won world titles on all four Japanese manufacturers (Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Honda). Not only is Stefan one of the most winningest racer’s in history, but he is also known for having an incredible ‘natural talent’ on a dirt bike. In a way, Stefan kind of rides ‘fluid’, like Kevin Windham … with that smooth natural flow. Therefore, we figured it might be a good idea to revisit some basics in this riding tip. Take a moment to watch the champion explain one of the most fundamental basics of our sport …how to jump. It may not be the most exciting MX video we have ever seen, but it just may be some darn good free advice, from someone who knows how to win, to help you the next time you’re cranking out some practice laps at your local track. Enjoy, Cheers, Chronic MX.
