Old school video of Motocross Legend Tim Ferry on a CR 80 two stroke in Florida
After 30 years following the amazing sport of Motocross…to this day, one of my most favorite memories was seeing Tim Ferry absolutely destroy a local supercross track on a YZ 60 in 1983. The track was West Palm Beach’s municipal stadium, a supercross track built on the baseball field. Tim Ferry was posting faster lap times than most riders in all the other A classes…including the 250′s!! I was there at his start and I was also there the day he took his parade lap last year at Steel City for his retirement celebration. Pretty cool how all of us watching Tim ferry ride that day in 1983, including the announcer Pete Scalzo (seen in this video a few years later), knew that he would move on to be a Legend in the sport of Motocross. Thanks for the memories Tim Ferry, cheers Rocket 88.
