Ricky ‘GOAT’ Carmichael Wins Loretta SE Regional At Millcreek Motocross

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well seeing Ricky Carmichael, ‘The Goat”, turn laps at Millcreek’s S.E. Loretta Lynn regional qualifiers was nothing shy of a spectacle that absolutely had to be captured on film. While the world’s best motocross pros were busy chasing the 2012 outdoor motocross title at High Point … RC, ‘the greatest of all time’, was chasing his own title. RC is racing the 2012 Loretta Lynn Nationals this year, and he sealed the deal at Millcreek’s race, winning both motos. Hundreds of riders showed up to Pell City, Alabama…to try and make racing in the 2012 Loretta Nationals this August a reality. Big storms lurked in the background, but the track stayed dry and the sky remained perfectly overcast for a perfect race day.  RC rode with typical grace and style, though a few front runners made him work for the win at the start. RC’s return to motocross racing has now taken our sport even higher than thought possible. The mx legend’s friendly demeanor with the crowd, combined with his raw talent, and unbelievable accomplishments, really do confirm him as ‘the greatest of all time’. It was a spectacular day of motocross racing at Millcreek, especially when hearing the two stroke class ‘braaap’ it’s way up the massive table tops … or hearing the singing of RC’s RM 450Z sail smooth and steady around the track. Enjoy a few of the event’s pictures…worth a thousand words! Cheers Chronic MX.
