Sara Price Injury Forces Withdrawal From 2012 WMX Motocross Season

WMX Women’s pro motocross star, Sara Price, was the subject of a recent press release. Her sponsor, Moto Mingle, released this recent statement regarding her withdrawal from the remaining 2012 WMX Outdoor Motocross season.

MotoMingle’s Sara Price announces she is out for the Outdoor National Championship to be held in her hometown of Lake Elsinore, CA. Sara Price, a Southern California native, injured her wrist while training to compete in the ESPN X Games in June. After completing several weeks of physical therapy for ligament damage, and finally being released from her doctor’s care, with so few hours on the bike there isn’t enough time to train and be ready to compete at a competitive level in the National Finals only a few weeks away. Price says, “I was extremely disappointed that I was not able to compete at X Games, especially since I had been focusing on Gold all year. My hopes were to recover in time for the Elsinore Nationals, unfortunately, my wrist is just not strong enough for me to safely race without risking further injury. This is the sport of motocross, and injuries come with the territory.” As Price continues her recovery, she is preparing to compete in the Donald Trump 2013 Miss California Miss USA pageant this January. She is also helping with charities such as Kids Cure Foundation and GiveBack, and has plans to start her own edgy, chic jewelry line. She continues to be the spokesperson for the off-road social network Moto Mingle , runs her Sara Price Racing Academy, and plans to be back on the bike in time to race the Lake Elsinore Grand Prix in November. Price would like to thank all of her fans for their support during this tough year, as well as her sponsors: MotoMingle, One Industries, Auto Styles, IMG Motorsports, Scott USA, Maxima Oils, Dunlop Tires, Vanus Creations, Pro Circuit, Ferodo, Renthal, and DT1.

Chronic MX is wishing Sara Price a safe and speedy recovery.
