Toronto Supercross Proves Justin Barcia And Ryan Villopoto 2012 SX Title Champion Worthy

The 2012 Toronto Supercross proved a final stomping ground for the two current supercross points leaders Barcia and Villopoto . Justin Barcia resumed his winning consistency in the East Lites class following a pause from four wins in a row, as Blake Wharton took a top podium a week earlier at Indy. Justin Barcia’s was riding unbelievable though, quickly showing his rivals who’s boss and continued to hit his rev limiter in Toronto, like Slash ripped on his lead guitar.

Ryan Villopoto remained the Iron Horse, with or without his best competitors present. This season will be remembered as having one of the biggest injury plagued seasons amongst the top ten riders of the field. In the premier class Villopoto’s challengers landed on the sidelines one by one. Short, Tedesco, Canard, Reed, Dungey, Stewart and more, all out chasing the unstoppable Ryan Villopoto. Villopoto collected win number 7 and extended his points lead to X, enough to hit cruise control towards the 2012 Trophy.  As always, Windham has stolen the hearts of the Canadian fans too. Expect some of the best racing of the 2012 season in the next final stage of the series, as battles heat up in both classes for the second and third place overall podium spots. Here is a visit to Chronic MX’s friend Jim Holley, as he recap’s of Toronto’s action.
Cheers Rocket 88.
