Trey Canard knows how to Scrub … regardless of his Washougal “scrub crash”
Well one thing is for sure, Trey Canard is going to be really missed at the Lucas Oil National Outdoor Motocross race on August 13th at Unadilla. The Chronic MotoX team believes that Trey is hands down one of the nicest, most talented (and driven), up and comers in the sport of Motocross over the last few years. Sure, you have Ryan Dungey and his incredible accomplishments too…and all the other champions feats, but Trey was literally an unknown freckled faced, red head, a few years ago…yet now holds titles in the MX history books and rides in Legendary status for a factory team during a recession! Canard is podium material each and every race he enters. Unfortunately, luck just has not come his way in 2011. First off, there was a practice crash that yielded a broken femur at the end of the 2011 Supercross season (which he was in podium contention for). Trey brushed it off, did his rehab, practiced hard, and returned just a few weeks ago to immediately be a threat again to all his competitors in the Big Boy outdoor national motocross class. But bad luck was after Trey again. After just 3 short races back, a nasty scrub-gone-wrong at Washougal ended in a violent crash and a re-broken femur for Trey. In honor of Trey’s absence at the upcoming Unadilla national, I want to remind everyone that Trey Canard really can scrub with the best of them! Watch and learn from this older video he made on his way to legend status via the archives of MX. Cheers Rocket 88
